I have drafted in pencil my entire career - and fortunately, this is still a desirable skill set even as computer assisted drafting (CAD) has become the norm. But not to be left out entirely, I am learning VectorWorks and Rhino.
To date I have scanned only a handful of the hand drawn sheets I produced. What is posted here barely scratches the surface of what I have copies of. I have 10 flat file drawers and 10 tubes of drawings! 98% of my original hand drafted drawings were left with each production as part of their inventory. (I ‘rescued’ a few…). I saved blueprints of some of my most favorite drawings from each show. I saved them not only as mementos for myself, and for my portfolio, but also for teaching my set design class at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, California.
